Overthinking
There is not a day that goes by that I’m not thinking about my body and the choices I will be making throughout the day. I think yes today is a skinny day or today is not so hot. I’m a woman and I have those thoughts and feelings. Just like our girls do. It’s always an underlying thing.
In high school I remember thinking about the clothes I would wear and how they will look on me during school, during sports, swim team, poms, track, soccer, etc.. and if I sit this way will I look thinner. I was overthinking it all!
Clearly, nothing has changed all the girls are thinking the same way but now they are seeing it all the time on social media. Way more than I was exposed that’s for sure.
Overthinking every move is exhausting and the goal is to teach the girls that when they are having a bad day and don’t feel good about themselves what can they do to help them feel better about themselves. Here is what I did…. and still do!
I know that what I put in my mouth has an impact on how I feel. It comes down to healthy habits and I’m talking specifically about eating habits. I will never use the word diet ever! All that means is a start and stop day and that’s not how to give my mind and body power.
We have two choices we can make changes in how we fuel our bodies to make us feel energized and happy about what we are putting in our bodies and that will help us with how we look.
How are we fueling our bodies with power foods or lazy foods? I actually wasn’t thinking this Is how this blog post was going to go but, I am not going to overthink it and just go with what’s on my mind right now. lol!
We need to know that how we fuel our bodies has a huge impact on we feel about how we look. Starting to teach girls that we can be happy with what we look like by making good healthy choices. I’ll get into power foods and lazy food in my next blog post.

What does that do? it’s a distraction in life, so when you teach healthy habits it becomes a part of your life, not an obsession.
